Christmas or XMAS?
Xmas is another name for Christmas. Some believe that calling Christmas "Xmas" is incorrect since it removes the "Christ" (Jesus) from the holiday. (Christmas is derived from Christ-Mass, the Christian celebration of Jesus' birth.)

But that's not exactly correct! The Greek letter chi (pronounced "kye"; rhymes with "eye"), which is the initial letter of the Greek name for Christ, Christos, is the letter that resembles an X in the Greek language and alphabet.
The first two letters of Christos in the Greek alphabet, "chi" and "rho," were used by the early church to construct a monogram (symbol) to signify the name of Jesus. This looks like an X with a small p on the top: ☧
Christians occasionally use the image of a fish as a symbol (you might see a fish sticker on a car or someone wearing a little fish badge). The earliest Christians had to gather in secret at that time because the Romans wanted to kill them (before Emperor Constantine became a Christian). People began to use the emblem when Jesus claimed he intended to make his followers "fishers of men."

When two Christians met, one of them would draw a simple fish shape on the ground with their foot, and the other would draw the other half of the fish. Ikthus, sometimes known as Ichthys, is the Greek word for fish. The term consists of five Greek letters. It can also be used to form the sentence "Jesus Christ, Son of God, Saviour," which is pronounced "Ie-sous Christos Theou Huios So-te-r" in English. X, or Christos, is the second of these five letters.
Thus, Xmas can also imply Christmas; nevertheless, it should be said as "Christmas" rather than "ex-mas"!
